Brüggen is a modern municipality with a future, but also a place full of history. Visitors will discover evidence of the past in many places. It has been preserved and today this restored heritage shapes the character of this hospitable municipality. The holiday home was completely renovated in 2019. It is situated in a quiet location on the outskirts of the village and yet is only a few minutes' walk from the village centre! Nature lovers will also be delighted, as the distance to the forest is barely 100 metres! Walks and cycle tours are therefore ideal!
With over 100 m² of living space covered with porcelain stoneware tiles, up to 6 adults can enjoy a relaxing holiday. Our holiday home is a holiday home for all ages, ideal for families and friends (pets are also welcome on request) who want to spend their holiday together. Our holiday home is a non-smoking house.
Our holiday home has a large garden with a beautiful terrace. The large, south-facing terrace invites you to sunbathe and offers a beautiful view of the surrounding area. Our fenced property is approx. 500 square metres in size. Comfortable garden chairs, a modern garden table, deckchairs and a high-quality awning guarantee a pleasant stay outdoors. A gas barbecue, including gas bottle, is also provided for you to enjoy the evenings on the terrace.
The ground floor combines kitchen, dining room and living room in a large, well-lit space that allows our guests to enjoy domestic activities together, as the living space is distributed on one level. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom, each equipped with a large, open rain shower. This ensures that guests do not disturb or hinder each other when going to the bathroom in the early hours of the morning.
Rest is the basis of a holiday, so our rooms have king-size beds equipped with anti-allergenic 7-zone spring mattresses and fresh blankets and pillows. In the generously equipped kitchen you will find everything a hobby chef needs. As a guest, you can therefore enjoy the uncompromising preparation of every meal, just as you would in your own home.
There are also days on holiday when you don't necessarily want to be out and about. On such days, you can relax on the large terrace and even barbecue for dinner!
The tourist information centre has been located in Brüggen Castle since May 2002. There, in the entrance area of the Museum of Man and Hunting, you can obtain information about Brüggen and the surrounding area. Since October 2002, the castle has also been home to the Nature Park Information Centre. Opening hours From Wednesday, 1 March: Tuesday to Sunday: 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., except Saturday 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. The museum is closed on Reformation Day and All Saints' Day.
The living room offers a large, cosy sofa with seating for up to 6 people, a wood-burning stove (firewood is provided free of charge in winter) and a 55-inch UHD Smart TV. You can enjoy a glass of wine together with family or friends in front of the fireplace or end the evening with a film. A Netflix account is available on request for the duration of your stay. The dining area is furnished with a large glass table with six comfortable chairs. A high chair for children is available on request.
Our open, modern and generously equipped kitchen offers crockery, pots and pans and everything else you need for cooking. The electric cooker with ceramic hob and oven, the fridge with freezer compartment, the dishwasher, the microwave, the coffee machine, the toaster, etc... are all high-quality appliances from well-known manufacturers. Cooking utensils, spices, coffee capsules, cleaning products, etc... are always available. As a little extra, there are two bar stools in the kitchen where you can have a coffee in the morning or watch your loved one cooking in the evening.
A small selection of books and some board games for adults and children are also available. The two modern bathrooms are equipped with towel radiators and walk-in rain showers. The beds in the two tasteful bedrooms are equipped with comfortable duvets and three different pillows for each bed. Spacious wardrobes provide ample storage space for your luggage and clothes.
