The 106 m2 house offers a large living/dining area on two levels with an open, well-equipped kitchen and balcony as well as a panoramic window with a spectacular view of the valley of the Little Kyll.
Two bedrooms with double beds and adjoining bathrooms and an additional living room on the garden level with terrace offer sophisticated comfort.
Children can set up a separate play area on the gallery, or the room can be used as a small study or reading room.
The 4,000 m2 orchard is left in its natural state and creates a seamless transition to the surrounding forest and meadows.
Architecture
The internal topography of the house is developed from its location on a south-facing slope: all rooms are separated from each other by slight level offsets, from the entrance you spiral upwards around the central fireplace into the living room, the dining area with kitchen, a bedroom and finally onto the gallery, from which the view falls back into the high living room. Going downwards in the opposite direction, you reach the second bedroom and the garden room with a further outside access on the valley side.
Between the seven levels and the sloping roof, a charming spatial modulation of narrowing and widening, intimate and wide-opening spaces is created. Each room area thus develops its own specific atmosphere, while views into the neighbouring room areas allow the spatial flow of the three-dimensional enfilade to be felt. Large windows frame the view of the unspoilt valley and the wooded hills opposite.

Excursions : Schutz and surrounding area: In the village itself, the Burberg with its wild rock formations at the top and the remains of Roman settlements is a "must" walk. Cyclists are recommended to take the Kosmos cycle path from Daun to Meerfeld. In summer, you can enjoy a relaxing swim in the Meerfeld maar, which is also well worth a visit at other times of the year. Manderscheid with its two castles and the wild and romantic Lieserpfad trail is also one of the highlights in the immediate vicinity. Otherwise, there are wonderful hiking and cycling opportunities in all directions directly from the house, even without a fixed route, and there is a large playground with a meadow for children in the village. The Nerother Kopf with the high old beech forest and the Freudenkoppe castle ruins is a mystical experience, especially in foggy weather. In the slightly further surroundings: Kasselburg Eagle and Wolf Park in Pelm, Daun Wildlife Park, Gerolstein with the bizarre rock formations of primeval coral reefs, the maars around Gillenfeld and Schalkenmehren, Strohn Lava Bomb, the geyser in Wallenborn, Himmeroth Monastery are just a few examples. Location description : Schutz is a small village in the municipality of Daun (Vulkaneifel). The 2000 m2 meadow plot is situated on a south-facing slope above the valley of the Kleine Kyll. The view is open and unobstructed.
Other sports and leisure activities: The Vulkaneifel offers ideal conditions for hikers and all other outdoor sports enthusiasts. The Eifelsteig and the volcano hiking trails are in the immediate vicinity. Roads with little traffic make cycling trips an experience almost everywhere. For families and children there are low gradient cycle paths, e.g. on the Mosel-Maare cycle path (old railway line). Swimming in summer in the maars (Meerfeld, Schalkenmehren, Gillenfeld)
