Stone house with pool near Grosznjan The house is located in a very quiet, rural setting in a small hamlet 3 kilometres from Grosznjan. As the house is situated in the green hills of the Istrian inland, there is often a pleasant cool breeze in midsummer. The view extends into the greenery all around. The ideal place to "unwind". Despite its quiet location, the house is an ideal starting point for excursions. The medieval fortified towns of Istria, such as Motovun or Buzet, are not far away. The sea can be reached in 20 minutes by car. The nearest good shopping facilities are in the small town of Buje and the house is located on the Istrian "olive oil road". The surrounding area offers many culinary highlights: the famous Istrian truffles, meat from Boskarin cattle, wild Istrian asparagus, wine from local cultivation, olive oil from the surrounding manufactories. Nearby Grosznjan is a small, beautiful medieval fortress, known as the "artists' village" because of its many galleries. It also has a good gastronomic offer. The house was purchased by a German family in 2013 and tastefully renovated and furnished in a rustic style. On the ground floor there is a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area for eight people, a shower room and a cloakroom. From the kitchen, a glass door leads out onto the covered terrace, where there is also a dining area. In the garden, in front of the terrace, is the swimming pool and on the upper floor there are three separate bedrooms for two people each, a toilet and a bathroom with bathtub. In the spacious living room there is a sofa area that can be converted into another double bed, a reading chair, a desk and the TV. The balcony on the upper floor offers another seating area with a table and four chairs. The house has very thick walls, so it stays cool in summer. Air conditioning units in all rooms ensure pleasant temperatures even on very hot days. There are mosquito blinds in the windows of the three bedrooms to ensure a peaceful night's sleep. With its central heating and radiators in all rooms, it is also suitable for winter. There is a cast-iron stove in the living room.

The kitchen has a large dining area. In addition to the usual appliances, it has a Thermomix. Basic cookery book and other recipes are available. The kitchen is equipped so that you can really cook. There is plenty of crockery and glasses as well as all the important cooking utensils, and the living room has a large sofa area that can be pulled out to form a 160 cm wide double bed. There is also a desk and a reading chair with table and floor lamp in the living room. The living room can be used as a separate bedroom, especially in the summer when life takes place outside.
