This beautiful, old mansion is in a very quiet location in the middle of the old town in a picturesque setting. The access road has steps and is therefore car-free. In 1999, the ruins of the old house were completely demolished and in the following years the house was rebuilt from scratch using the old stones. The aim was to create a cosy place, respecting the island's building tradition. The owner was inspired by old photographs. The complete renovation was completed in 2002. The result is an exceptional holiday home that expertly combines tradition with modern comfort. A house for guests who love and appreciate authenticity. The house has a living area of 80 m² and can accommodate two people. Through a large walled courtyard, you enter the spacious living room on the ground floor. A breakfast bar separates the living room with fireplace, large sofa and beautiful old dining table from the beautiful kitchen. This is equipped with a high-quality cooker, oven, fridge, microwave, coffee machine and kettle. Also on the ground floor is the bathroom with shower, toilet, a beautiful sink and decorative mirrors. There is also a hairdryer. An open staircase leads to the dreamy bedroom with four windows, a ceiling with wooden beams and another fireplace. The room occupies the entire upper floor. The windows offer views of the sea and mountains. Wardrobes and drawers are built into the wall. The double bed is 160 x 200 cm. There is air conditioning with hot-cold function throughout the house. The imaginative decoration and tasteful furnishings make this homey and inviting, creating a sense of security and privacy.

Two French doors from the bedroom lead to the traditional wooden balcony, from where there are stunning views over the sea, the rooftops and the harbour. In the courtyard is a large terrace with barbecue, where you can enjoy outdoor dining and relaxing in the sun. But there is also a shady spot. There is a lemon tree in front of the house and the scent of jasmine. You can park in the public, free car park above the house and the access road.

This house can also be rented in combination with another flat for up to four people. The two houses share a common back wall and are connected by an inner door. The entrances to the buildings are on different streets. During the two weeks of Christmas, the two weeks of Greek Orthodox Easter and between 1 June and 30 September, free ADSL internet is available to guests.

It is a ten-minute walk to the harbour, taverns and shops. The return trip takes fifteen minutes. Via Kastro, you can walk to Glifoneri beach in ten minutes. There is also a laundrette near the house. By the way, did you know that Skopelos was used as a filming location for the movie "Mamma Mia"?
