The flat, which has just been renovated, is on the second floor of a historic building in the centre of Sansepolcro. In 5 minutes you can reach the square on foot. With a view of both the bell towers of Sansepolcro. There is free public parking right under the house and the restaurant is opposite the entrance.
Sansepolcro is situated on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, a short distance from the main historical and artistic towns in the area such as: Città di Castello, Gubbio, Assisi, Spello, Perugia, Anghiari, Arezzo, Cortona, Montone; not particularly distant are Florence and Siena just an hour's drive away.

Location description : Sansepolcro
Not to be missed: Piazza Torre di Berta with its monumental historical buildings. On the second Sunday in September, the Palio della Balestra takes place: a competition between archers from Gubbio and Sanseprlcro who wear costumes inspired by the paintings of Piero della Francesca. Romanesque cathedral dating back to the 11th century was remodelled several times. It houses great works: Madonna and Child with Saints, Crucifixion and on the altar, the 14th-century polyptych of the Resurrection. Church of St Francis with a Gothic portal (late 13th century). Inside we find a valuable high altar and the Dispute in the Temple of Passignano. The civic museum houses a rich picture gallery where one can admire the Madonna of Mercy and Resurrection by Piero della Francesca; San Giuliano fresco, two-sided professional banner by Luca Signorelli, Della Robbia terracotta with the Nativity. The basement houses the Treasure of the Cathedral and on the first floor the collection of Sinopias and Frescoes from neighbouring churches. Pero della Francesca House renowned Renaissance palace. Opposite the Church of San Francesco is Santa Maria delle Grazie. Inside is Raffellino's painting of the Madonna delle Grazie hill. Next to the cathedral is Palazzo delle Laudi, today the seat of the municipality. Near Piazza Torre di Berta are monumental palaces that characterise Via XX Settembre.
Excursion destinations : Città di Castello (12 km)
If you are an art lover, we have no hesitation in suggesting what to do in Città di Castello, as the town boasts two exceptional museums: the Museo Burri and the Pinacoteca.
The works of the famous artist Alberto Burri can be found partly in Palazzo Albizzini, which houses 130 works such as Catrami, Moulds, Hunchbacks, Sacchi, Legni, Ferri, Combustioni, Cretti and Cellotex, and partly in the Ex Seccatoi del Tabacco. The exhibition space, inaugurated in July 1990, houses 128 works created from 1970 to 1993, including pictorial cycles and monumental sculptures, also located on the lawn outside.
Monterchi (15 km)
The village is small, but pretty and is famous for Piero della Francesca's fresco 'The Madonna of Childbirth'. Many tourists come to see it from all over the world.
Anghiari (10 Km)
This is a small and very quiet Tuscan village full of charm. It can be explored in half a day by walking through its narrow streets that alternate up and down. Silent and very clean, it looks like a village straight out of a fairy tale. It undoubtedly deserves a stop, even a very short one. Don't miss: Palazzo Marzocco, Palazzo Pretorio.
Montone (30 Km)
To Visit: The imposing walls of medieval origins that surround the town, the Colleggiata Church with its beautiful bell tower, the remains of the Rocca di Braccio fortress and the medieval village characterised by narrow streets and pretty houses.
Gubbio (45 Km)
The best time to go would be May for the famous Corsa dei Ceri, or December to see the world's tallest Christmas tree, but September is also nice, as it is less crowded.
