Welcome to the Skogsvillen (Forest Villa), a house you will fall in love with. It is on a quiet side street and the terrace looks out towards the forest. The house is non-smoking.
The ground floor has a living and dining room and a big, light, modern bathroom. There is a modern, white kitchen, which suits the cosy Swedish wooden house perfectly. It has a ceramic hob, a convection oven and two giant fridges with a freezer compartment, as well as a dishwasher. The very cosy living and dining room has an old Swedish stove in the dining room and a modern tiled fireplace stove with a glass front (so you can watch the fire) in the living room. The cosy corner sofa provides ample space to enjoy a TV evening (satellite channels) and the big dining table for up to ten people invites you to dine together. The big bathroom, also with a washing machine, provides access to the big, roofed, furnished terrace and out into the garden. The garden is idyllically laid out and you can enjoy leisurely grilling and time outdoors.
Here you can enjoy a holiday in a typical old Swedish wooden house, almost 100 years old, which has been renovated with great attention to detail, expertly and extensively. The typical Swedish character and flair of the house have been preserved and combined with modern materials and luxurious and comfortable furnishing. The electric appliances and bathroom fittings and all new. The upper floor has three very comfortable bedrooms, two with double beds. All the rooms are charmingly decorated and provide plenty of storage space for clothing. Here too Swedish tradition has been combined with modern furniture, so all ages will feel at home here. All the floors are laid with laminate, which allergy sufferers will also appreciate, as there are no old carpets. There is also another WC on the upper floor.
The nearest supermarket is less than a five-minute walk away and you can also walk to a wonderful swimming spot within five minutes. Large supermarkets and everything else you need can be found in Målilla or Vetlanda. As regards the area around the villa: it is in Kvillsfors and the river Emån is just 200 metres away. It is excellent for fishing (pike and bass) and for canoeing. Canoes can be hired in Järnforsen. There really is still gold in the river and nearby you can try your hand at gold panning, with the equipment included in the entrance fee. You can visit Vimmerby with the Astrid Lindgren World – holiday fun for all ages – or you can be like a child yourself again in Bullerby or Lönneberga. You can go on an elk safari in one of the elk parks, visit the Father Christmas workshop, the many museums or the sweet factory in Mariannelund, where sweets are still made by hand and where you can watch. Or go on a trip into the kingdom of glass, to one of the many glass huts. Or simply enjoy the lovely Swedish nature and gather mushrooms and berries. There are many trip suggestions in the house.
